e-Krishok service improve productivity

Daukathi is a green village of Bakerganj upazilla under Barishal district. Mr. Raja Khan, a 39 year old progressive farmer, lives in this village. He cultivates Rice, Pulse, Bottle gourd, Sweet gourd, Reddish, Potato, Guava, Olive, Anola, Mango, Lemon & Coconut. Though he produces different types of crops & fruits, his special interest is in fruits production.

In previous years he was worried about insect’s infestation problems which caused immature falling of fruits. This year he cultivated Guava and Anola. In early stage of flowering he contacted e-Krishok BP Mr. Bashir to share this problem which he had been facing for a long time. Finally, with the help of e-Krishok advisory service he was able to solve his problem. “Every year we lost a large portion of our production due to various insect related problems, but as we did not have sufficient information and advice regarding these problems, we were simply helpless.
