Success story of Mr. Arjullah

Mr. Arjullah, a 27 year old small-scale local farmer of Fulbari village from Sherpur upazilla under Bogra district cultivates potato, teasel gourd, rice, chili, sesame, linseed, black gram, purple, bean, and cowpea.He is a member of e-krisok and is planning to increase his overall production compared to last year. Earlier he used to collect information on agriculture related problems from his local sub assistant agriculture officer and the upazilla agriculture office.Prior to the e-krishok intervention Mr. Arjullah experienced loss of 10000-15000 taka per year, but now, after being a member of e-Krishok he managed to overcome that loss with expected amount of production.

The increase in the production can be attributed to e-Krishok service. This has led to reduction in purple related problems. Initially, he was upset and annoyed with his investment. Then fortunately one day he met Mr. Saif at Grameen Phone CIC and shared his problem regarding infections. After recognizing the problem the CIC entrepreneur provided him with solution through accessing e-krisok facilities.
Finally Mr. Arjullah got release from his frustration. “Now I am happy and manage to secure yearly profit of TK 75000 from the same 33 decimal of land,” he said while talking to e-krisok correspondent.
